Wendron village, Cornwall

Wendron, formerly known as Gwendron, and known in Cornish as Egloswendron, is a village and parish in the former district of Kerrier. The parish of Wendron stretches north-east from the town of Helston which was part of the parish until 1845. The area was an important mining area, from ancient times, with Great Work and Great Wheal Vor the largest employers.
