St Stephen-in-Brannel village, Cornwall
The village of St Stephen-in-Brannel lies in Mid Cornwall. To the north lies 'Clay Country' the tips and pits of the China Clay Industry. To the west lies South Terras Mine, notable for being the only mine in Cornwall that had uranium ore as it its principal product. St Stephen-in-Brannel has over recent years expanded and now has a population of about 2,000. The church dates from the mid thirteenth century and replaced an earlier place of worship.
