St Mabyn village, Cornwall

St Mabyn is a small moorland village situated about 4 miles to the east of Wadebridge in North Cornwall. Bodmin lies about 6 miles to the south.

The name of the village comes from St Mabon, one of 24 children fathered by the 4th century King Broccan of Brecon, Wales.

The area is an excellent place to use as a base to explore Bodmin Moor and also North Cornwall as the A39 and A30 trunk roads are quite close by.
