St Issey village, Cornwall

St Issey lies about 4 miles southeast of Padstow and five miles west of Wadebridge in North Cornwall. The village takes its name from St Yse, who is said to have been one of the many children of King Broccan of Brecon, Wales.

The former industries of mining and quarrying have given way to farming and tourism. Holiday properties around this area offer the chance to stay or tour the whole of Cornwall and North Devon without too much trouble on relatively quiet roads.
