Shortlanesend village, Cornwall
The village of Shortlanesend lies two miles north of Truro in Mid-West Cornwall, alongside the B3284 road. There is an excellent pub here - The Old Plough. Its proximity to the city of Truro makes the area quite popular whilst the nearby Idless Woods offer a chance to let of steam and get some exercise. The road links this partof Truro to the main A30 trunk road and the rest of Cornwall. The north coast beaches lie just seven miles away to the northwest whilst the fine gardens and walks of Trelissick and King Harry lie about the same distance in the opposite direction. The port and shopping centre of Falmouth lies about thirteen miles away but still well within a short drive.
