Mitchell village, Cornwall

The village of Mitchell, formerly an ancient Borough was named after St. Michael and lies south of the A30 trunk road in Mid Cornwall just east of Carland Cross, roughly halfway between Zelah and Summercourt.

The Borough of Mitchell lies partly in St. Newlyn East parish and partly in St. Enoder.

The splendid manor house of Trerice lies nearby. It was once part of the manor of Degimbris which was owned by the Arundells and appears in the Domesday Book as the manor of Tregedei.
