Holywell village, Cornwall

Holywell

Holywell lies about six miles southwest of Newquay and a mile northwest of Cubert on the north coast of Cornwall. The village lies just inland of Holywell Bay, a favourite beach for sunseekers and surfers alike.

The name of the beach comes from the fact that there are TWO Holy Wells in the village. The first is at Trevornick Valley, on the site of the Holywell Bay Leisure Park. The second well lies within a sea cave just where the beach meets the cliffs below The Kelseys at the north-eastern (Newquay) end of the beach.
