Grampound Road village, Cornwall
A station to serve Grampound was opened with the Cornwall Railway on 4 May 1859. It was known as "Grampound Road" due to the distance from the town. Because of its remote location two cottages were built in 1860 for the station master and his staff. A small village known as Grampound Road grew up around the railway station and continues to expand despite the station closing.
