Davidstow village, Cornwall
Davidstow lies about four miles northeast of Camelford in North Cornwall. Best known for its dairy produce, Davidstow Moor was an RAF base for coastal Command in the Second World War from 1942-45. The airfield was closed in December 1945 to become a motor racing circuit, in the early 1950s. Three Formula 1 races were held there including the first success for the Lotus marque.
