Pendarves & St. Aubyn Consolidated Mines is situated on Penhale Moor, about two miles east of Gwinear, just south of Gwinear Road station. The sett includes Crack Crowder, Wheal Duffield and East Rosewarne Mines. Wheal Duffield raised 7,805 tons of copper ore mainly from Duffield and Redbarrow shafts between 1815 and 1841.
East Rosewarne worked North Lode and Engine Lode, from a number of shafts: King's; Hallett's; Matthews (aka Middle); Hanley's; James' and Wheal Brook Shafts. Between 1857 and 1873, the mine raised 7,240 tons of 10% copper ore and 2 tons of black tin.
