Truro City of Lights Festival

22nd November

Something to brighten up the darkest evening... Truro City of Lights is a midwinter lantern festival. Wednesday 22nd November, 2017.

Truro City of Lights Festival

Each year City of Lights attracts an audience of 30,000 people, serenaded by at least 100 local musicians and dancers and showcasing over 600 lanterns, made by local artists, school children, college students and community members.

In 2016, the parade celebrated its 20th anniversary and still it remains true to its original aim, which is to use simple materials (withy and paper) to create lanterns large and small, which are made by the local community.
