Treyarnon beach, Cornwall

Treyarnon beach, otherwise known as Treyarnon Bay is a popular northwest facing beach of fine golden sand situated about 4 miles west of Padstow on the north coast of Cornwall. The beach lies just about half a mile south of the far larger Constantine Bay, on the southern side of Trevose Head.

Surrounded by low cliffs, the beach is quite flat but offers a good stretch of sand to enjoy at low water. Recently recommended by the Marine Conservation Society Good Beach Guide, Treyarnon Bay is backed by sand dunes and has a number of good rock pools to explore. It is popular with families and is also a good surfing beach in the right conditions.

Treyarnon Bay lies within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has some great walks along the coast path north to Trevose Head via Constantine Bay and Booby's Bay, or south towards Porthcothan via Fox Cove, Rowan Cove and Long Cove.

There is a small car park situated near the beach but come early if you want to guarantee a space. There are toilets and refreshments available nearby and there is RNLI Lifeguard cover daily from the 5th May to 30th of September.

There are no restrictions for dogs.
