Tolcarne, Newquay

Tolcarne, Newquay beach, Cornwall

Tolcarne Beach, Newquay offers a fine expanse of golden sand to its visitors. Northwest facing it lies sandwiched between Great Western Beach and Lusty Glaze Beach and within easy walking distance of the Town Centre.

There are a range of events throughout the year in Newquay, many are dedicated to the beach crowd and the surfing fraternity but there are also events for older visitors such as the Newquay Gig Rowing Championships and the Newquay Fish Festival, showcasing all the best in Cornish fish and seafood in September.

There are, as you would expect, a number of attractions in the greater Newquay area including the Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay Zoo, seven beaches, each with their own different character and style as well as the Trenance Leisure Park and tea gardens.

Free attractions include the beautiful scenery and some excellent walks around Towan Head to Fistral Beach and on to Pentire or east towards Porth and Trevelgue Head. The sand is firm enough for you to take the easy option here and use the beach to make your way eastward instead of the coast path... Tide permitting of course.

After dark, if it needs telling, there are venues to suit all age groups and budgets with an equivalent range of accommodation options.
