Polurrian Cove

Polurrian Cove beach, Cornwall

Polurrian Cove lies on the west coast of the Lizard Peninsula on the South Cornwall coast. The cove lies between Poldhu Cove in the north, made famous by Marconi's radio experiments in the 20th century, and Mullion Cove to the south. Polurrian Cove is southwest facing and lies just seaward of the village of Mullion. The beach consists of fine golden sand with a few patches of fine shingle. Surfing is possible at Polurrian but it is not really one of the region's surfing hotspots.

There are no facilities here, parking and public conveniences are available in Mullion or at Poldhu Cove. Due to its proximity to Helston (8 miles) and several holiday parks the beach can become busy in high season.

There is a seasonal dog ban in force at Polurrian Cove with dogs banned from Easter Day to October 1st and from 7am to 7pm.

Keen ramblers may wish to walk along the South West Coast Path north to Poldhu and Gunwalloe Coves or south passing Mullion Cove and Predannack on your way to Kynance Cove and Lizard Point.
