Perranuthnoe

Perranuthnoe beach, Cornwall

The village of Perranuthnoe lies between Cudden Point and Marazion, near Penzance. It has good views of St. Michael's Mount to the west and of Acton Castle and Cudden Point to the east.

The beach of Perran Sands is a half mile long beach of flat golden sand and faces south west. It is a narrow strip of sand and consequently is completely covered at high tide. The beach is safe for swimming although there is no lifeguard cover.

Given the right conditions the beach is frequented by surfers of all abilities. Access to the beach is by a ramp or some steep steps.

There is a seasonal dog ban from 1st May to 30th September between the hours of 8am and 7pm. Parking is available a short distance from the beach. which is free out of season.

The Cabin Beach Café is located in a small field just above the sea. Great for quick refreshments, it has lovely views of the beach and the surrounding coastline and countryside. The coast path passes it just 50 yards up the lane and some of The Cabin's most frequent customers are local walkers of the coast path.
