Kiberick Cove

Kiberick Cove beach, Cornwall

Kiberick Cove is a southeast facing cove situated just to the northeast of Nare Head, in Gerrans Bay, on the South Cornwall coast.

The cove lies sheltered between Rosen Cliff on its southwestern end and by The Blouth on its northeast end and is roughly halfway between Pendower and Portloe.

The area around Kiberick is quite remote, with only the occasional coast path walker or fisherman for company. Swimming, therefore, although possible is not advised too far from the shore.

Due to its location, Kiberick Cove is rarely busy, but is a popular mark for keen anglers.

Access to the beach is quite a scramble but once on the beach it is well worth it. The layout of Kiberick Cove can alter its nature dependent on the season. In the gentler summer months there is often quite a bit of sand visible; the rest of the year, especially after winter storms, the beach becomes quite rocky.

In the stewardship of the National Trust, Kiberick Cove is, in our opinion, best visited by walking from Nare Head with a friend.
