One of Cornwall's lesser known beaches, Hemmick Beach lies near Gorran Haven, immediately west of Dodman Point, on the south coast of Cornwall.
It is southwest facing and due to the nearest parking being at Penare Farm some 10-15 minutes walk away, is rarely crowded. Sandy with the odd pebble along the strandline, Hemmick is in our opinion one of Cornwall's secret beaches, often only encountered by dedicated walkers of the coast path.
The nearest accommodation is at Gorran Haven, Mevagissey, St Austell 10 miles away and Truro 15 miles away.
There are no facilities at the beach. Dogs are permitted on Hemmick Beach all year round. Nearby beaches in Cornwall include Portholland 2 miles to the west and Gorran Haven 2 miles to the east.
