Green Bay, Bryher

Green Bay, Bryher is located on the southeast coast of Bryher. The beach looks east across Tresco flats to Saffron Cove and Plumb Hill on the west coast of Tresco. There is a high water landing place here at Church Quay in the middle of the beach whilst to the north lies the low water landing point of Anneka's Quay.
Until 1989, Bryher was the only island in the Isles of scilly that did not have a low water landing place. Later that year, an approach was made to Anneka Rice, the presenter of BBC1's "Challenge Anneka" television programme to help to construct a suitable low water jetty for the island over a weekend. The original quay provided 18 years of service before it was replaced with a lower maintenance concrete structure. The new quay has been slightly lengthened to provide better deep water access.
