At low tide Gorran Haven has a good sized beach of golden sand. East facing Gorran Haven lies on the South coast of Cornwall near Mevagissey. It is sheltered by a pier and Maenease Point to the southwest and Little Perhaver Point to the north.
There is a post office and the Barley Sheaf Inn in Gorran Churchtown village for refreshments and a car park a short walk away.
Areas of interest nearby include the fishing village of the Eden Project at Bodelva near St. Austell, the fishing village of Mevagissey, the Lost Gardens of Heligan near Pentewan and fine walks southwest along the coast path towards Dodman Point and on into Veryan Bay and the Roseland Peninsula or northeast around Chapel Point into Mevagissey Bay.
