Godrevy Cove, The Lizard
Not to be confused with the beach near Hayle on the North coast of Cornwall, Godrevy Cove lies on the east coast of the Lizard Peninsula in South Cornwall, approximately one mile east of St. Keverne.
Secluded and unknown to many, Godrevy Cove lies between the former Dean Point (Gabbro) Quarry and Porthoustock (Diorite) Quarry. The small cove to the north west is Leggan Cove.
Southeast-facing, Godrevy Cove consists of dark shingle and coarse sand. Offshore lie the infamous Manacle Rocks (Cornish: Mên Eglos - Church Rocks), - a scene of many a shipwreck.
There are no facilities and no lifeguards patrol the beach. Dogs are permitted all year round.
The beach is accessed from the hamlet of Rosenithon by following the footpath through the fields to the cove.
