Farm Beach lies on the west coast of Tresco and looks across to the neighbouring island of Bryher. West facing the beach consists of pale golden sand and is bounded by Plumb Island to the south and New Grimsby Quay to the north.
Situated as it is near the main settlement of Tresco at New Grimsby, the beach can be popular in high season, although many visitors head for Pentle Bay on the other side of the island.
Tresco Abbey Gardens and the Valhalla Museum of Shipwreck artifacts are well worth visiting, whilst New Inn is a great place for refreshment. Tresco Stores, the Post Office and the Flying Boat Club development lie at its southern end.
There are some fine walks north to Cromwell's and King Charles' Castle or south along Appletree Road to Appletree Bay and ultimately Carn Near Quay as well as the short strolls through Dolphin Town to Old Grimsby; or along Racket Town Road to the Old Blockhouse and Pentle Bay on the east coast.
