Daymer Bay lies on the eastern shore of the River Camel, opposite Padstow in North Cornwall.
Just southwest of the village of Trebetherick and about a mile and a half north of the fashionable resort of Rock, Daymer Bay has a wide sandy beach that looks west across the Doom Bar in the Camel Estuary to Hawkers Cove and Harbour Cove, Padstow and north to the sea.
Apart from walking barefoot along the sheltered seashore as you amble north towards Trebetherick from the ferry or car park at Rock; other areas of interest around Daymer Bay include Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman's grave at St. Enodoc Church, Trebetherick.
Sporty individuals may enjoy the Sailing Club at Rock, surfing at nearby Polzeath or a round or two at St. Enodoc Golf Club just above the beach.
