One of Cornwall's secret coves, Boat Cove is a little cove tucked into an inlet between Pendeen Lighthouse and Portheras Cove on the North coast of West Cornwall.
North facing, the beach offers a pleasant diversion if walking this part of the South West Coast Path.
It can be approached best by parking your car at Pendeen Watch Lighthouse and then following the coastal path down towards Portheras Beach.
The pleasant 10 minute walk offers the chance to look east up the coast towards Gurnards Head and Zennor.
There are fine walks east towards Gurnard's Head and Zennor, or south and west to the mining districts of Levant, Botallack, and Cape Cornwall, recently immortalised by the BBC's adaptaption of Winston Graham's 'Poldark' series.
