A long southeast-facing beach on the south coast of Tresco, Isles of Scilly.
The beach is bounded by Oliver's Battery and Carn Near to the southwest and Green Island and Tobaccoman's Ledge to the east.
Nearby lies the former site of the Tresco Heliport, Tresco Abbey, The Great Pool and Tresco Abbey Gardens. There is a low water landing place at Carn Near.
Consisting of typical pale yellow Scillonian sand backed by low grassy banks with patches of rock, the beach slopes gently and looks across the water to Halangy Point on the northwest coast of St. Mary's.
There are some fine walks over Carn Near to Appletree Bay and Tresco Abbey Gardens, north over the Appletree Banks to the Valhalla Shipwreck Museum and Tresco Abbey or northeast to the fine beach at Pentle Bay.
