The Bridge on Wool is a 2 story building in the heart of the charming town of Wadebridge situated in north Cornwall. br / br / It was originally a coaching hotel in the early 1900 hundreds renamed the Bridge on Wool circa 1950 s.it supposedly takes its name from the fact the bridge into Wadebridge was built on bales of wool due to the shifting sands of the tidal river but the more likely version is that the money for the bridge came from the sheep farmers who were responsible for the prosperity of the town. br / br / As a part of skinners brewery we offer a range of our well known beers (Betty Stogs Cornish Knocker and Lushingtons) as well as our seasonal Ale Blazers range. On draught we have a selection of handcrafted ciders as well as different craft beers from micro-breweries around the country as well as 26 gins and 27 rum from all over the world. br / br / Every Saturday night we treat our patrons to live music from accomplished bands from all over Cornwall and have a food offering comprising of breakfast lunch and dinner (Tuesday-Saturday 9-2.30/5.30-8.30). We use local sources as much as we can in our kitchen and strive to provide hearty pub food at reasonable prices. br / br / We also offer 3 en-suite rooms located on the top floor of the building with secure and easy access for our guests to come and go as they please. Rooms are provided with complimentary tea coffee some toiletries and fresh towels. Breakfast is not included in the room price but if guests wish to partake in our breakfast we are happy to provide it.The rooms themselves are cosy comfortable yet airy with large windows that look directly over the town itself. br / br / br / br / The Camel Trail is a staunch part of the Wadebridge community and delights locals and visitors alike boasting an 18 mile multi use trail which provides access to the beautiful Cornish countryside along a disused railway line between Wenfordbridge Bodmin Wadebridge and Padstow. br / br / The trail is suitable for walkers cyclist and horses alike and not to be missed!

Offering a comfortable stay in either a Queen ensuite or a twin with shared bathroom.both rooms are on the ground floor however the shared bathroom is on the first floor. Our rooms are clean and bright with comfortable beds TV tea and coffee and free WIFI. There is also a large garden for guest to relax in and should the weather permit breakfast can be served. br / br / br / br / On our doorstep are several eateries and bars all within walking distance. THE CAMEL TRAIL starts here . South to PADSTOW and North ton BODMIN and beyond. br / br / PADSTOW is a wonderful working fishing village with an abundance of great restaurants and many boutique type br / br / shops. Boat and fishing trips set off from here daily. br / br / br / br / PORT ISAAC of DOC MARTIN fame isa 10 mile drive away. A pretty fishing village as seen regularly on TV br / br / THE SOUTH WEST COASTAL PATH can be picked up from here. Some beautiful walks with stunning views. br / br / br / br / GWYNARTH is ideally situated th explore the whole of CORNWALL. THE EDEN PROJECT 40 minutes. LIZARD PENINSULA ST IVES LANDS END. approx 1.5 hours. TRURO our capital abour an hour. Lovely shops and a lovely Cathedral br / br / CORNWALL can boast many NATIONAL TRUST properties. The closest being LANHYDROCK. br / br / br / br / We are close to so many gorgeous beaches for swimming surfing sailing wind surfing and fishing. Most of these places can be reached by a limited bus service but it is recommended to have your own transport. br / br / NEWQUAY AIRPORT is half an hour. Flights from GATWICK daily. BODMIN PARKWAY on the mainline from PADDINGTON about 40 minutes.
Pengelly Farm B&B
Pengelly Farm is a working family dairy farm that also offers quality Bed & Breakfast and Self Catering Accommodation near the popular market town of Wadebridge.
The B & B accommodation in the listed Georgian farmhouse is tastefully decorated and furnished also centrally heated throughout. It offers two spacious ensuite bedrooms both with views over the large garden. The traditional style dining room offers space and comfort. Our breakfast buffet consists of cereals, grapefruit, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, fruit juice, tea and coffee. To follow, a full Cornish breakfast is served or other lighter options should you prefer. Finish with toast of your choice using our own homemade bread and preserves (when available). Local produce is used wherever possible.
On your arrival enjoy a delicious Cornish cream tea in the garden and take in the views over the surrounding countryside. Alternatively relax in the comfortable guest lounge with cosy log fires in winter.
Pengelly Farm is ideally situated as a walking and touring base, with the North Cornwall coastline and beaches within close proximity where activities include sailing, surfing, golf ,riding and of course coastal walks. The ever popular Camel Trail, The Saints Way and several National Trust properties are all within easy reach including the award winning Pencarrow House. Bodmin Moor and Padstow are only twenty minutes drive away.
Nearby Wadebridge offers a good range of pubs, restaurants, unique individual shops, cinema, sports centre and recreational ground. Wadebridge also hosts the three day Royal Cornwall Agricultural Show in June and Folk Festival in August.
