Details

Trewithen has been described as perhaps the most beautiful woodland garden in Britain. It is an historic private estate internationally famous for its collection of Camellias, Rhododendrons and Magnolias. The gardens were developed by George Johnstone at the time of the great plant hunting expeditions between 1910 and 1932. Astonishing seed collections were sent back to the UK and he then went on to design and plant the woodland garden of Trewithen that we see today.

Trewithen is a rare Cornish gem.
