If you're looking for Industrial Heritage and History in Cornwall, then a visit to the Tolgus Tin Mine is a must. The mill is authentic and unique, which for hundreds of years processed tin ore.
The mill continues to be one of the most important industrial heritage sites in Cornwall. Inside you will find: shaking tables, a round table, water wheels, dipper wheels, launders, pulverisors, slime pits and much more.
The heart of the mill is a massive 12 headed set of Cornish Stamps still driven by a 16ft. water wheel, perhaps the only ones left in Europe! All machinery in the mill was assembled to extract residue tin particles from the river that runs through Treasure Park.
